Classic aged Burgundy nose that is mature, complex and still entirely secondary in character, which is to say that it has not moved into the sous bois stage followed by elegant, very rich and sweet flavors that display first rate length. In short, this is altogether lovely and while it will not improve from here, it is holding well and should continue to drink well for at least another decade.

Domaine Louis Rémy has been managed by Chantal Rémy since 1988. The 3.5 hectare domaine can trace its antecedents back all the way to 1821. Chantal has continued the tradition of making gentle, not overtly powerful wines which nonetheless repay keeping, as well as holding back a proportion of the harvest so that the domaine can offer older vintages for sale.
