This is a print for Chateau Mouton Rothschild in 1988 illustrated by artist Keith Haring. His design for the 1988 Mouton Rothschild vintage is a satirical version of the Dancing Rams theme, perhaps also making an ironic reference to Mouton Rothschild’s official coat of arms. The "label" is oversized with an image area of aprox. 16.5 cm x 23 cm on paper that is aprox. 34 cm x 47 cm.

Baron Philippe de Rothschild came up with the idea of having each year's Château Mouton Rothschild label designed by a famous artist of the day. In 1946, this became a permanent and significant aspect of the Mouton image with labels created by some of the world's great painters and sculptors. The popularity of the label images results in auction prices for older and more collectible years being far out of sync with the other first growths, whose labels do not change year to year.
