Sergio Del Casale Radices Montepulciano D' Abruzzo 2009 750ml

Winemaker's note:
This wine is obtained from temperature controlled vinification in small capacity fermenters of carefully selected grapes, maturation and aging in stainless steel tanks and, for a few months, in selected oak barrels. Red with light violet reflections, it has an intense aroma, with notes of violet and black cherry, and hints of licorice and cinnamon. Full flavor, full bodied and velvery tannins.
The 2009 Radices Montepulciano D'Abruzzo won the 5 Star Wines Award with 93points out of 100 in Vinitaly 2017.

The lineage of the Del Casale grows in the "golden land" of Vasto, Abruzzo, and in a difficult period around the end of 1800. The land available is that of the "coast", which is not the sea shore, but the steep slope of the valley, difficult to work, but the best for production of good quality.

With a legacy of patience and persistence, Del Casale tried for years to bring to best quality wines. Keeping Low light, high humidity, and temperature constantly fresh; an optimal conditions for the aging of red wines.

Today, grown with a long tradition, Paola and Laura represent the present and the future of the Del Casale family.
