Auchroisk 1990 25 Year Old Limited Edition 2016 Single Malt Whisky w/box 700ml

This cask strength Auchroisk is the single malt's third appearance in the Diageo Special Releases, following a 20 year old in 2010 and a very good 30 year old in 2012. Matured in American oak hogheads and refill European oak butts, 3,954 bottles have been produced.
The Chaps at Master of Malt:
Nose: Inviting, with notes of white peach, soft raisins, orange cream, vanilla and fresh linen. A fantastic nose.
Palate: Some cereal gristiness on the palate, but well-integrated and still light with floral touches. Fresh apricots and fondant fancies.
Finish: Mint choc chip ice cream. Every word is important there.

Founded in 1974, Auchroisk is a newbie compared to some of its ancient Speyside counterparts. Though the distillery itself might be a recent addition to the landscape, Auchroisk Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made from the naturally-pure waters of Dorries Well, a feature as old as the hills that gives this whisky its smooth and subtle character.
