Domaine Charles Noëllat once thrived as a distinct branch of the Noëllat family with its own terroirs in Vosne-Romanée. Though the original domaine no longer exists (a successor now has resurrected a negociant operation under the name) Domaine Charles Noëllat (and this Grand Cru vineyard plot in particular) holds a place in history as the basis for Domaine Leroy upon its dissolution and sale to Lalou Bize Leroy in 1988.
