Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue has been held by the same family for 20 generations since 1450 and is currently run by Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, granddaughters of the late Comte Georges de Vogue.
The late Comte Georges de Vogue is credited not only with changing the estate’s name but with reestablishing and redefining the wine’s reputation.With an emphasis on minimal intervention, the estate does not treat its vines merely for the sake of prevention. Rather, using ploughs drawn by horses and organic methods it cares for its vines and the terroir.
With a blend of traditional and modern techniques, that change from year to year with the demands of the vintage, this estate releases powerful and dense wines that age beautifully. With silky tannins, lingering elegance and delicate ethereal notes, the wines released under the iconic rooster emblem are some of the best of Burgundy.
