This has the exoticism of the Limestone Kabinett but it’s even deeper and more intense. Honeyed peaches balanced by the lifted freshness of grapefruit and a slightly smoky/mineral note that reins in that exoticism. Utterly pure. For a wine in such a butterfly-light Kabinett style this is really full and deep in the mouth. The acidity is very different compared with that of the Limestone and Kirchspiel Kabinetten, firmer, bolder, less crackling and dry but still beautifully fresh. Essence of grapefruit balanced by the fullness of long-ripened flavours and the extra sweetness on the mid palate and then soaring to a long citrus finish.
