Peppery citrus (reminiscent, if I dare say it, of Grüner Veltliner) and stony/mineral. Peachy, too, and even a touch of just-ripe pineapple. Has immense intensity and drive, with a marked saline aftertaste to balance the ripeness of fruit. Mouth-watering. Not yet as well meshed as the AbtsE or the Kirchspiel. But an astonishing wine: a Kabinett that should make anyone who is sceptical about this style of Riesling realise they are as capable of greatness as dry or really sweet wines.
