Penfolds turns 170 this year, and to celebrate they've collaborated with Britain's top cabinet maker, David Linley, on a remarkable fine wine release. Teaming the Australian winemaker's respected tradition with that of time-honoured British craftsmanship, the collaboration sees a rare, exclusive vintage made available for the first time in 40 years.

INTRODUCING… LINLEY FOR PENFOLDS

‘LINLEY for PENFOLDS’  collaboration is a symbol of the new world, bespoke craftsmanship and a celebration of the birthplace of Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold – the founder of Penfolds.

David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley, known professionally as David Linley, is a luxury, bespoke English furniture maker and Chairman of the Auction House Christie’s UK.

The son of Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, and Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon, he is the Queen’s nephew and the Chairman of his own company – LINLEY.

LINLEY is a luxury brand known for superlative craftsmanship, innovative design and precision engineering. Over the years David has worked closely with LINLEY designers and craftsmen to ensure each piece has the quintessentially British characteristics if inventiveness, attention to detail, ingenuity, creative spirit, eccentricity, sophistication, wit and charm.

LINLEY for PENFOLDS is the ultimate expression of artisan craftsmanship.

Using both time-honoured and modern techniques, bespoke wooden cases were commissioned for the 2010 Bin 170 Kalimna Shiraz across all release formats (750ml, Magnum and Imperial).

2010 BIN 170 KALIMNA SHIRAZ
